Την ικανοποίησή του για την επιχείρηση «Ξένιος Ζευς», εκφράζει, με σημερινή του ανακοίνωση, το Επαγγελματικό Επιμελητήριο Αθηνών... ζητώντας παράλληλα την επέκταση των ελέγχων στους πάγκους του υπαίθριου στάσιμου εμπορίου...«Το επιμελητήριο δεν μπορεί παρά να επικροτήσει τις ενέργειες της πολιτείας που -με σεβασμό στα ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα- αποσκοπούν στην αποκατάσταση του φυσιολογικού ρυθμού στη ζωή της πολύπαθης Αθήνας. Η μακροχρόνια και ανεξέλεγκτη «κατάληψη» κεντρικών και εμπορικών δρόμων της πρωτεύουσας από παράνομους μετανάστες παρέλυσε τη νόμιμη εμπορική δραστηριότητα και «εκτόξευσε» τον τζίρο του παραεμπορίου», αναφέρει.
Προσθέτει ακόμη ότι πολλοί από τους πάγκους υπαίθριου στάσιμου εμπορίου έχουν εξελιχθεί σε μόνιμη και διαρκή εστία παραεμπορίου και φοροδιαφυγής και ζητά εντατικοποίηση των ελέγχων, αλλά και αυστηροποίηση των κανόνων αδειοδότησης από τους δήμους.

This is one of the reasons that, even though i'm Greek by birth, I have come to hate this country more than I thought

kind people. I cannot wait to leave. There is no rule of law here. There
is no justice, there are no protections. The police make me feel less
safe, not more. Furthermore, this ugly scapegoating violence will never
absolve Greece of its responsibility to solve its own problems. You
really think the Pakistani wiping your car windows for small change is
the reason your country is falling to pieces? Did he corrupt your
government? Lie about your country's fiscal condition to sneak into the
Eurozone? Botch your national budgets? Hire political pals as civil
servants? Invent the financial instruments and policies that brought the
world economy to its knees? Is he the head of the European Central
Bank? And would you happily trade places with him, if he is taking such
incredible advantage of you? It is easy to abuse those weaker than you,
but do remember how many Greeks are now trying to support themselves and
their families by leaving the country they know and love to seek
employment abroad, how many are poor and hungry, struggling with the
language and customs, relying on the kindness and patience of strangers,
and think again before you decide to blame the stranger in your own
land for the problems he has nothing to do with.
